Phyllis has represented seniors and their families in estate planning and administering estates and trusts for more than 30 years. In 2004 she expanded her practice into elder law. Elder law is often referred to as “later life estate planning” and relates to the protection and distribution of assets should you or a loved one be faced with entering a nursing home. In 2010 Phyllis became a VA Accredited Attorney and, as such, is authorized by the Department of Veterans Affairs to assist clients with the preparation, presentation and prosecution of claims for VA benefits. Phyllis was a founding member of Pearson Bollman Law and retired November 2017.
Phyllis graduated from Iowa State with a degree in Mathematics in 1969. She then attended Drake Law School and graduated with a Juris Doctor in 1979 (Order of the Coif).
